“Hi, I’m Dr. Wachtel and welcome to my practice. Today we’re going to talk about heel pain and the heel pain center in our practice. We have many patients that come into our practice with painful heels. Painful heels are typically due to what is called plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the arch cord. Typically why someone develops plantar fasciitis is when we land, the foot collapses and when the foot collapses the arch tissue that goes from your heel to the toes gets inflamed or swollen. We do things like diagnostic ultrasounds to the plantar facial or the arch cord and we find that it’s very thickened and that means there’s inflammation.

We have many different treatment modalities in our practice where we can treat your heal pain very quickly, safely, and effectively to get you back on your feet without much pain.”
